ROUTE OVERVIEW
Discover the best of Boise and Garden City on this picturesque bike route. You'll pedal along the Boise River Greenbelt, enjoy scenic river views through Ann Morrison and Julia Davis Parks, then explore Downtown Boise, the vibrant Basque Block, and charming historic neighborhoods. The route extends into Garden City's creative corridor, with unique art spaces and riverside stops, plus numerous options for food, coffee, breweries, and wineries. ROUTE DETAILS
Start & End: George's Cycles
This loop starts and ends at George's Cycles at Broad Street and 3rd Street in Downtown Boise where pass holders will access their bike rental! For information on downtown parking options, please visit ParkBoi.
Route Distance: 9.9 miles
This routes is just over 10 miles and packs in numerous sites along the way. If you're riding the route without stopping, it should take about 1 -1.5 hours. However, with numerous stops along the way, we'd suggest planning for a full day! If you're prefer a shortened "Best of Boise" route, please let us know.
Route Comfort: Blue
Much of this route is along the Boise River Greenbelt, a dedicated bicycle and pedestrian pathway. The route also includes the 11th Street Bikeway, which has protected bike lanes through downtown, and then turns into a neighborhood bikeway. Although suitable for most abilities, this is rated "blue" given the distance and riding in downtown Boise.
Public Restrooms: Available
Public restrooms are available at the public parks along the route including C.W. Moore, Julia Davis, Esther Simplot, Idaho Firefighter's Memorial and Ann Morrison. These are also identified on the Ride with GPS map.
Bike Repair Stations: Available
Bike Repair Stations are located along the route at several locations in case you encounter a maintenance issue. To view a map of repair stations, check here.
