FOUNDER STORY

IMG_8994.jpeg

City Cycling Guide is based in Boise, Idaho—but its heart and handlebars are set on cities across the country. Launched in 2025 by Tessa Greegor, a longtime bicycle advocate, urban planner, and all-around city explorer, City Cycling Guide is all about helping people connect with places through the joy of riding a bike.

Tessa’s career has taken her from the streets of Seattle to the bike-friendly city of Fort Collins, where she managed the city’s Bicycle Program for nearly eight years. She’s worked in government and advocacy, led commuter programs, and helped shape public spaces in her hometown of Boise. With a master’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of Washington and a League Cycling Instructor certification under her belt, she brings both expertise and a genuine love of the ride.

But City Cycling Guide isn’t just about infrastructure—it’s about experience. For Tessa, the best routes are the ones that lead to hidden murals, farmers markets, neighborhood coffee shops, and  a great local brewery. Whether she’s riding with her husband or scouting out the next city to feature, she’s always searching for those off-the-beaten-path moments that make a place feel alive.

City Cycling Guide is Tessa’s way of sharing that passion—of helping more people discover how fun, freeing, and surprisingly easy biking around a city can be.
